Bronx Urban Farms Trolley Tour


The first tour of the season will feature the horticultural and culinary delights of the Bronx’s diverse immigrant population. Visiting La Finca del Sur Urban Farm, a women-led, non-profit farm and community resource for food, family, gardening, and fun. Lunch at Drew Gardens, a community garden nestled along the Bronx River, before touring the grounds where more than 40 families grow food in community plots. Finally, Little Green Rock Garden and Melrose New Generation Garden, enjoying local entertainment among the plants and people. Lunch is included. Butterfly Project NYC Native Plant Giveaway and Workshop



Learn more about the connections between native plants and pollinators and how to encourage them in urban landscapes. This year’s workshop is part of NYC Wildflower Week and will include an educational game demonstrating the importance of this relationship.
